Club moss/Drug Interactions:
  • AnticholinergicsAnticholinergics: Based on in vitro study, Lycopodium clavatum may have cholinesterase inhibition activity (1).
  • Anti inflammatory agentsAnti inflammatory agents: Based on animal study, Lycopodium clavatum may have anti-inflammatory activity comparable to indomethacin (2).
  • Antineoplastic agentsAntineoplastic agents: In a laboratory study, carduus marianus, chelidonium, China, colocynthis, and veratrum, but not Lycopodium from Lycopodium clavatum L., demonstrated antiproliferative activity (4). The greatest effects were achieved with various combinations of these, or with all components of Hepeel® combined.
